Telegram has announced the launch of a new Gift feature, expecting to be able to convert them into TON-based NFTs within a year. Users can now send gifts to each other during the holidays using Telegram Stars, and congratulate their friends and loved ones with animated artwork and personalized messages.

The Christmas holidays (which also happened to be my birthday) are approaching, and today we are launching Gifts! It is a great way to congratulate your loved ones on important events.
Gift recipients can choose to display them on their profile or sell them for Stars. Some gifts have limited availability.

During the year, we will introduce the ability to convert limited edition gifts into TON-based NFTs. Users will then be able to auction and trade them outside of Telegram, with ownership recorded on the blockchain.
