In app usage dropped significantly because points system was scrapped. This was because of pressure from north Korean police to do staking. I honestly think this was a wrong move. When new users continue to grow, it's only a matter of time before $social price catches up. As it stands now, there is zero incentive for new users to come to phaver. This staking model will only attract farmers and not real users. If people buy $social to stake they will do whatever they can to recoup there investment. Tldr: go back to the old points system but put a cap on points to token redemption.

Move to Social Staking has nothing to do with Korean Police’s pushing, he just wanted staking in general which is simple but not enough. It is 100% clear by now that point system failed to attract enough real users compared to farmers and there is no way to fix it at this point as people want instant gratification and liquidity in the age of memecoins. Current system has not attracted any new users since TGE so has to be changed dramatically. Staking is also done precisely because it gives nothing to farmers, only holders and creators who can help token go up while farmers just want more free tokens to sell.

The points system has been tried and you will agree it yielded good results. It's normal for users to leave post TGE, and given the poor token performance since then more will be demotivated and gradually continue to leave. But it will still attract a new set of users(post TGE users) there is no way it won't because there isn't any financial barrier to participate and try to extract some value. I have personally purple pilled some people based on it, now I can't. Many might come for the value at first but some will be attracted to what is being built and join the religion. There will always be farmers even with the new staking system, difference is that the farmers now don't provide any value in return, only mercenary capital. I am not saying it must be the points system or nothing. I am just saying there has to be an alternative to it and by that I mean no barrier to entry to get value. If new users don't come in the project will continue to suffer. Either that or the token increases in value and draw…

We were hoping points would be enough to attract users but vast majority of the activity caused by them is actively harmful while the actually high quality users are not understanding the system or seeing clear enough rewards, in a nutshell points turned out to have the worst of both worlds now that we have a token that exposes the real motivations of the users.
