Hello y'all -- an update on @faust, and where things are with Roc: A few months ago, we announced that we're building Roc (what we call a reality oracle computer). We've been hard at work on it for the past few months, and it is taking a lot longe than we thought. So, in the mean time we've decided to build a smaller scope version beta dev kit of it that we'll be announcing soon. This sounds very fascinating and I'm curious to know more about it. I followed @faust to keep up-to-date on new announcements. But to try to understand it more, when you sayd "notarizes reality" - is that confirming reality? Confirming that something is real and true?

Let me try to break down the idea of notarizing reality as I see it, there’s two parts: A) deterministically reporting what the sensor data reported: where you are, latitude and longitude, your attitude i.e. roll, pitch and yaw) and cryptographically being able to prove that that was what reported by the sensor B) verifying sensor data accuracy - is it actually at that place, was the vehicle actually at this specific location, is the sensor accurately describing reality? We’re focusing much more on A, than we are on B. Even robots today in the real world can only stochastically describe their surrounding based on what they think is going around them and act accordingly. We’re thinking the same
