Frígg gave the name to Friday. Frigg is Odin's wife in Norse mythology. She was perceived as the goddess of marriage. She was also a protector and helper in traditional women's work, such as weaving, sewing and cooking.

Seems like it's Odin's wife Frigg.

Many of the photographers have been there. I met two French photographers I knew from twitter who live in Iceland now when I visited and also one guy from India who was leading a photographer tour and we met up at the church in Reykjavik just to chat a bit. There was one Icelandic photographer I knew on twitter who I wanted to see also, but she was out of town shooting a film and never where I was at the time.

Thank you for your wonderful posts about Iceland. It's a really fascinating place. I've visited it several times. I hope all the FC people get to see it up close.
