Why do cafes here not use barista soy milk? I swear I’m just going to have to open my own damn coffee shop.

Oat milk works best in coffee, even if it's not the barista type. Definitely doesn't do this. ewww I tested different ones for a while. I've mostly switched to almond these days, but not in coffee (rooibos and matcha). If I drink coffee, I just use cow's milk, but oat milk is ok too.

Yeah, trying to reduce sugar intake is why I switched from oat. I'm not diabetic, but my blood sugar was higher than normal in my blood tests, so I reduced my processed carbs. I've found that cafes aren't that great at foaming plant milks either. I do it better at home. I'm not vegan, so I'll just get cow's milk when I'm out. I just don't want to buy it for home as I rarely use it.

Came to the exact same conclusion after testing around with oat, soy and almond. I find it also works best in cereal.
