Recently found a cooking method I instantly fell in love with. It takes 35 minutes total, but only 5 of those are active. I stole it from an Italian nonna’s menu and it’s now in my permanent rotation: - Chop any veggies and cover with a bit of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. - Place a soup plate on top with a piece of chicken, meat patty, or fish. - Cover with a lid and left it for 30 min. Here’s an example for one: Broth: 2 carrots + 1 zucchini. Take the veggies out of the broth when tender, season with salt, olive oil, and lemon juice. Chicken: Slice a chicken breast, season, drizzle with olive oil, add the flesh and juice of one tomato. You can add the juices that come out while steaming to the broth for extra flavor. Soup: Toss some vermicelli into the broth at the end and cook for 5 minutes. You’ll have a warm, comforting dinner: clear soup with noodles, steamed chicken, and veggies. Minimal effort, maximum cozy.

I usually just boil everything in the same pot, but I'm gonna try this out!
