Hypothetically, would you rather have:

1. AI is not delayed, but the strongest AI, 10 years ahead of everyone else, is in the hands of a single very powerful US government agency
2. All AI delayed by 10 years

2. We don’t trust the US Fed with money, hence crypto. (Ok Fed is not technically government but for all intents and purposes.)

But we do trust them with an AI with the ability to potentiate all the data they collect, manipulate media with deep fakes and ossify existing power structures? No, thanks
