LG Shuts Down Art Lab NFT Marketplace After Three Years

LG Electronics will shut down Art Lab, its NFT marketplace for digital art on smart TVs, on June 17, 2025. Purchases have been disabled since March 10, and all NFTs will be transferred to users' wallets by April 30.

Launched in 2022 during the NFT boom, Art Lab enabled transactions via LG’s Wallypto wallet, first on Hedera and later Ethereum. The shutdown follows declining interest in NFTs, similar to Kraken’s recent closure of its NFT platform. LG now plans to focus on new digital innovations.
