New Game Maker Update & Partner Brands
The Sandbox released Game Maker 0.11, improving multiplayer modes, especially for racing games, and adding templates and dynamic libraries. Users can now integrate content from partner brands like The Smurfs, Care Bears, and Atari into their creations.
Ubisoftβs Champions Tactics Avatar Collection
In partnership with Ubisoft, The Sandbox launched the voxel-style Champions Tactics avatars. 2,000 spots are available, with minting at 170 SAND.
Highlights & Future Plans
In Alpha Season 4, 580,000 players spent 1.4 million hours playing and completed 49 million quests. The Sandbox now has 25,000 LAND owners and 62,000 avatar holders. In 2025, they aim to improve gameplay, expand brand partnerships, and support external studios in developing games for platforms like the App Store and Steam.

Crypto Influencerβs Wife Targeted in Dramatic Tiger Kidnapping
On December 21, 2024, the wife of a prominent Brussels-based cryptocurrency influencer, identified as S.W., became the victim of a tiger kidnapping. The incident unfolded in the Brussels municipality of Vorst, where the woman, I.B., was forced into a van by four men.
The abductors appeared to target her due to S.W.βs public display of wealth on social media. Just a day before the kidnapping, S.W. had shared a video showcasing his cryptocurrency portfolio, which he claimed was worth over $1.6 million.
