We should think about all grant recipients as founders. Doesnt have to be a startup. Nouns support founders of ideas, projects, initiatives, sometimes organizations.

Being a founder feels stronger than being a grantee, more agentic, empowering.

Furthermore, when we (as voters/community members) consider who we want to fund, we generally want the founder archetype. Someone with a strong drive, willing to take a bit of personal risk, and make an impact on people around them.

yeah theres this idea (which i too fall into) that just bc nouns is novel everything we do should be novel and uncharted territory but often things thatve proven to work well over some time (vc, charity) did for a reason and we can take inspo when/where makes sense
