never been in a waymo but it feels like end state for the passenger in an ai-driven car to be seated in the front and where the wheel used to be? or front and center? why would you need to be in the back when no one is driving

ultimately the steering wheel will disappear in self-driving cars, probably will just have an emergency control or something

This and a point 4156 made; cars likely will come in diff form factors, 1 seaters, 5 seaters, buses etc getting rid of the driver seat opens up for new designs

1 seater sounds so fun :) i was insanely hyped on the self-driving future in 2018 and remember day dreaming about this stuff. i think it'll completely reshape cities and hopefully make them more walkable and accessible again
