i get why people end up at “higher is an open source cc0 brand so it can be applied to everything/is for everyone” but that line of thought is an extremely efficient way to kill anything with an early spark of interestingness

i’m on the other side of the fence here. i think calling it a cc0 brand is already too narrow

higher is a meme that’s available for anyone to use however they want. a headless brand is one way, putting green hats on people is another. but it all leads back to higher as a meme.

yeah but the constraining factor is not who can use it (anyone), but who knows about it (few)

the current audience is directly related to this, and if you dont manage to appeal to them there is no chance of growth

and the meme will continue to exist and grow with or without /higher
