Best (retro) handheld console for a 4/5y old?

options:
- gb advance sp
- ds
- 3ds
- switch lite

i have a lot of nostalgia for the earlier consoles but it might just be better to go with a used switch lite?

altho, the flip design of the sp/ds is compelling since its sturdy and can be tossed around -- whats the build quality of the switch lite?

the DS is such a good console. 

pick up an R4DS and install a whole library of games, and some homebrew like Nitrotracker  👇 With the built in mic, you can even make your own instruments. I made a whole album on one of these years ago (mxjxn.bandcamp.com)

been having fun with the modretro chromatic recently, but more retro than all your choices 😁

ill get a switch 2 for myself but daughter will have to settle with something lesser :D

new switch was announced recently. not sure its a huge upgrade. stateside i would say switch. the console most other kids have and carry.
