its possible thats scientifically correct, but to get co2 poisoning you need extreme levels of bad air afaik i think most ppl in tech use them to be aware of "stuffy" air, which mostly makes you a bit dull (and the cure for that is to open a window)

The main reason to care about CO2 is that (CO2 concentration - 420) is a good proxy for how much of the air you're breathing in is air that other humans breathed out, ie. airborne virus risk Once we have mainstream HEPA or UVC this will work less well, but for now it's a good guide for when you should be careful
