Ukrainian food is always delicious πΊπ¦
Borsch, varenyky - all of it is incredibly delicious. But for me, deruny occupy a special place π«Άπ»
I don't cook them that often, but if I see them on a menu, the choice is obvious. The most delicious deruny I've ever tasted were in Zakarpattia: crispy, ruddy, with a delicate texture inside - just perfect.
π₯ If you want to make them yourself, here's a simple recipe :

Ingredients:
- 5-6 potatoes
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion
- 2-3 tbsp of flour
- Salt and pepper - to taste
- Oil for frying
π₯ Preparation:
1. Grate potatoes on a fine grater, add grated onion, egg, flour, salt and pepper.
2. Mix well to make the mass homogeneous.
3. Spoon onto a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil, fry on both sides until golden brown.
4. Serve hot with sour cream or your favorite sauce.
