jokes about PMs aside I think product management function is not effective anymore because no one can interpret external market/business realities anymore and it’s anyone’s guess as to where the future goes

yeah, it seems like product function should nearly always be team lead and you just need more grounded project managers to help keep tempo and coordinate.
