Incredibly sad news from Ukraine. RIP Chris 🫂💔 

Chris Garrett was a bomb disposal expert, founder, and chairman of Prevail - a nonprofit doing incredible work demining de-occupied cities and villages, clearing explosive threats, and facilitating evacuations.

Chris died while dismantling an improvised russian explosive device in the city of Izium in eastern Ukraine, where we just delivered aid with @crystalhearts. The city is heavily mined from the time of russian occupation, and organizations like Prevail work to clear those mines and disarm explosive devices so civilians don’t get killed. Because of them, many lives are being saved. This is so incredibly devastating.
