Is it illegal to give away money to followers?

What if I said I would give 1 ETH to a randomly chosen follower this Friday? 

Screw it, let's do it. I'm gonna give someone 1 ETH on Friday.

Im gonna give 0.35 ETH to a random follower here on FC and hope he will share some % of it with someone else. As for my portion i will propably add it in /rebase LP or just use it to visit token 2049 event!
