Seeing lots of people on Twitter dunk on this new law in Australia preventing children under 16 from using social media. What do you think?

I, and many Australians, absolutely detest this ban. It’s a Trojan horse for the DigitaliD which will now be forced onto ALL Australians, to confirm age prior to logging in. This was confirmed in senate inquiries. Professional consultation was sought on this bill, and the majority pointed out that it was bad policy, some even showing it was unconstitutional, yet they guillotined it through in the middle of the night with no debate. No one wants their kids bullied online, but it’s for the parents to decide. Not the precedent to set up a mass surveillance state on ALL citizens who use social media.
