any chance that @zora have rationalised a short-term decision to the tune of believing in a *too* specific a long-term vision of the future? erc20s make sense if you want market efficient liquidity but something qualitatively changed for people with no interest in speculation + trading their friends posts i wonder whether the majority of people have an inner trader, or if this significantly narrows the scope of people who might use zora as a social media platform the current successful social media platforms are often taking up time through dms, which signals that a true product is the connections that can move from the timeline to private messaging the only other 'true' product is audience attention, in which case zora can end up being marketing infrastructure for creators willing to go onchain and 'sell' something (identity, ideology, art, products) to an audience that is onchain competent and open to profiting from speculation, in which case leaning into speculation-curated timelines is interesting

Maybe they should implement Trader or Collector modes, similarly to OpenSea Trader mode shows you buy/sell Collector mode shows you “collect” That’s it. You choose how you want to frame it in your head.
