By the commonly accepted NOVA scale of processing which defines what “ultra processed food” is today, Bryan’s ready to eat nutty pudding mix is UPF. I agree “die culture must die” which is why I support a 5% tax on all ultra processed food, including Bryan’s products. (Do you see how once we move past talk this gets hard???)

I will die on this hill 1M times: junk food being fed to someone while they’re still developing will increase the likelihood of them being obese and that will shorten their life span. We don’t have food deserts now, we have nutrient deserts. Food and nutrients should be perceived as 2 different things. I eat whole foods every day, go to the gym almost every day, and used to be fat. If I was trying to navigate the infinite mirror maze that is UPF, I probably wouldn’t feel as amazing as I do now. I’m a whole foods maximalist because of that and there’s absolutely 0 that anyone can say that will convince me the American food complex isn’t a massive government plan to take psychological willpower out of people so that they become more obedient taxpayers and will comply with whatever the government plans to do in the future (increasing taxes). The government wants people to be weak, that’s my take.

I know I sound schizo in this (I am), but lack of nutrient density in American food (to me) was pre-planned. I don’t think any of where America is at is by happenstance. Even though Brian Johnson might make the best ever UPF and sell it, I still believe eggs, chicken, broccoli, bell peppers, actual food is what we should be feeding ourselves and not doing that is poisoning, whether or not we want to admit it.
