Dammit they made time object-oriented https://aeon.co/essays/time-is-not-an-illusion-its-an-object-with-physical-size

This is a semantics trap. Mathematically speaking, if time were a physical reality, it would be 4 dimensional, that we can’t prove exists because we are moving through it. Every instance of the universe is a sliver of time, but to prove time exists would be to prove that every instance of space is predetermined.

Within the 3rd dimension, time is measured in the perceptual change of matter, and recorded in memory. Without memory, the instance of space we’re in right now is indistinguishable from the instance that “happens” “tomorrow”. There is no tomorrow or now, there’s only what there is.

A now implies a non-now. And to imply a non-now, means you’d have to be in the 4th dimension looking at the past and future and “now” at the same exact time. Time no longer is a measurement (of) time but a measurement of the changes in the state of space.
