I stand by this judgement. I used to appreciate them, but a song came on today and my immediate thought was ā€œthis song writing is kind of flat and the playing is kinda uninspired - but Jimā€™s vocals are good even though his lyrics are kinda high school-yā€ The song was Light My Fire

smh The Doors were BREAK ON THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE YEAH YEAH YEAH. That's the only song that stuck with me really. Because of Tony Hawk's Underground 2 OST. lol.
