Damn. I just realized the right comp for Warpcast is WeChat (without the CCP part). The fact that WeChat started as messaging and Warpcast started as a forum was distracting me from seeing this. But Frames as Mini Apps and WC Wallet as PayPal make it clear: WC is an Everything* App. *including free speech.

Pls no. The ecosystem has been half pregnant long enough. Letās separate these two things. Mommy meet baby. Itās you but itās not you. An everything app that uses some open FC protocol technology & has its own proprietary services.

not sure i understand farcaster has identity, social graph, social content, mini app spec, and will have direct messages + blockchain payment rails = everything an everything app needs

MerkelM/wc have everything they need for an everything app ājustā add users. We agree on this. Theyāve made & kept promises to open & decentralize but there are a lot of promises still TBD I wont conflate FC protocol with the services WC has. Many here do. Were you? Gc

We are in full agreement Iām referring to where we expect the farcaster protocol to end up (I didnāt mention anything that isnāt on the roadmap) Lots of work to do of course and Iāll believe it when I see it but given the roadmap I think itās fair to say farcaster is meant to be an everything app protocol
