idk if there is a word for this so imma make one up. i think of myself as a tangibilist. i don't care for "stuff" in general, but i do love tangible, touchable reminders of things i experienced - tiny pebbles, a stolen hotel notepad, little tchotchke's from a gift shop

One of the concepts being explored in the Neuroethics textbook this semester is the idea that humans have an "extended mind." In a very real way, those tangible items become a part of you, your extended mind, serving as memory triggers so you don't have to store all the information in your head all the time.

This is Interesting topic. Are you enjoying the course? I find things triggers me from long term to short term mem for sure. Fascinating topic & one I’m hoping we start to see FC tools for thought. Little ‘tangibles’ (sic?) in the feed or app to trigger memories & encourage more discovery.

I'm enjoying the class very much. The mind and consciousness are some of my main interests in philosophy.
