What is the most frustrating thing about Farcaster right now? Reply and like the replies from others that resonate. Iâll only ask clarifying questions (ie I wonât tell you youâre wrong) and then respond to a dozen or so top answers in a video this weekend with how we think about it.

Protocol governance seems a bit opaque & def centralized w zero commitments (that Iâve heard) to decentralize. The protocol is TOO BIG. I admire the ambition but break this shit up. Consider: Identity Verify-Store-Sync (âïžassuming channels land here) Private/group Messaging Protocol revenue centralized. Consider apps that onboard users keep the revenue. Govern some of these âuniqueâ protocols less often. The protocol should not need a paid staff once hardened. ok maybe an admin but no devs as goal. Please donât create ICANN. From your point of view, what problem is it solving today (vs. in the future)? Who is feeling this pain?

Your current setup is likely done for speed which I believe you have said. So youâre optimizing for speed vs inclusion. This comes off as centrally controlled by a co that has the primary on-ramp & call option on future features->apps. Clubhouse->X Spaces. This discourages investment at the app layer. This leaves the indexing layer as the safest place to invest today eg Neynar Airstack Karma3 Labs et al We all feel the pain in a slower growing ecosystem that has effectively been told to outsource user onboarding to WC. Again said with admiration & confidence merklem will do whatâs best for the ecosystem.
