There should be a really great audio app built on top of Farcaster, there have been some good attempts but none of them have hit the mark imo, can be better than OG Clubhouse if done right Definitely not easy by any means but there's something there Big problem with Clubhouse was that they were trying to build their own graph (which is normal in web 2) and as a result couldn't focus on just nailing audio conversations (which naturally occur less than scrolling the feed — and that's okay!) Twitter Spaces (Clubhouse should've taken the $4b acquisition, feature not a bug, hindsight is 20/20) but I think they still leave a lot to be desired despite their reach with being integrated directly into X

Always thought of audio as a wc eventual-feature rather than a being worthy of a stand alone app. unless considerable differentiation is inserted (token anyone?) this seems like a risky bet.

I think it will take Merkle a long time to build this tbh, hard to argue that it drives growth which is their main focus right now I think you can build a killer social audio app in that time, it's probably one of a couple of client ideas I would actually work on that could live in tandem with Warpcast

If it takes MerkleM a long time to build this they are doing it wrong. No jest intended. It may take them awhile to prioritize it… Im a hair splitter. 🤷🏻♂️💜 WC is Windows (warplet notifications authentication) Feeds are Word Audio spaces are Excel Stories are PowerPoint Steering clear of the Office apps.
