Sounds like you harvest more than twice a year, just wondering if that’s always enough to sustain you.

Twice is what normally happens. Depends a bit on the weather in the spring.

The neighbors never get free honey jars then 😄

We always give the neighbors some. 
Crazy how some people go after local honey like their life depended on it

I just never knew until about 10 years ago when we started keeping

Sadly no he died when I was in my 20s. Over sharing. My mom died today 2 years ago. Must be in a reflective mood. 

Some people at the kid’s school were into beekeeping & we ‘won’ a kit & lessons at the annual auction.
