People close to me know that if they want to get rid of something they'd better ask me 😏 Meaning that I know the most sustainable way to part with anything: - gadgets, valuables - sell - furniture - sell or give away - old batteries and broken electronics - bring to a recycling centre - good clothes - donate or bring to a resale shop - old/torn fabrics - bring to a special recycling box And of course I collect all the useful chats/places where people sell, donate or give away stuff. So for the last year I've been a fan of this clothing resale shop - I'm getting new clothes there for free 🤑 Works like this - people bring me clothes they want throw away, I go to the store, they sell it for me, and I use the credit to buy clothes I like for myself 😆 Thankfully other sellers also got great taste - every time I visit I find something in my style, including vintage things 💜 (That's me trying on jeans and a hand sewn vintage blouse there. Got the jeans, but the blouse felt too costumey)

I love the idea of an offline shop like this! I try to sell things online first - even if it seems pointless to go to the post office for that amount of money, I like the idea that it will still be worn before it goes to the recycling bin

That's a great way to give your clothes a second life too! For me the biggest challenge with online reselling is taking photos of the clothes, I don't have a single free wall in my flat where I could do it 😅

I agree, it's quite a challenge) It's also challenge for me is keeping these clothes at home for a while, because after sorting out my wardrobe, I usually want to get the extra stuff out of home immediately! But I don't have a lot of faith in recycling bins, as I've heard that these things aren't always sorted into something that can still be worn, but simply recycled
