This is how I view EIGEN and why I am actually happy with the airdrop.

The emotional outpourings are somewhat distasteful. I'm not down as a result of my participation and have been saved from pissing away my Eth frivolously. As an enjoyer of new things I'm in agreement.

Hey KK π I haven't read too deeply into all documents, just heard the recent live stream. I can understand that farmers and bot herders are upset, but hey... Eigenlayer always felt and feel like building for the long term. A "regular" claim and dump drop would have been off brand and reputation.

I somewhat disagree with the second part. Forking tokens aren't new, the EIGEN whitepaper discusses Augur's REP, which is 8y old. All of the forking happens at the bEIGEN level, so even if forking was a total unknown space, EIGEN is fully isolated from the mechanism. Non-transferability is a pure market making move.
