The behavior of people on Discord and CT during airdrop announcements is another great evidence of a perfect product-market fit of Eigenlayer and restaking. For context and a touch of irony: writing this after reading some of the comments related to Etherfi airdrop.

Buonasera, Kristi. I have made the "mistake" to stop by there recently as I had a question. Interesting, to say the least. Not yet sure what to make of it. Makes one wonder if airdrops continue to be a thing. Let's see how the Team handles it.

I was thinking the same. When founders see mess like this, I'm not sure if they'll consider launching a token worth the few days of hell. I can see that at least a few teams will go just with loyalty points or something non-speculative. Would be interesting to find out how valuable tokens are for the teams.

How many examples are there for airdrops where keeping the token makes sense because you have a benefit when using the service or protocol? Would you want to sell an airdrop if you’re convinced about something and you stand to gain more over time from keeping your tokens and continue using something?

Well, most of the protocols are governance protocols, so if you want to influence the project, you keep the token. Another example can be revenue-sharing tokens (or the premise of it) e.g. UNI or GMX.

Yes, and then some of them, in addition to influencing the way forward via voting, one can also stake, earning some reward in the token. Kind of like a loyalty program for stakeholders who diamond hand them.
