Inside the Shoulder: Rotator Cuff Tear 

Here's a glimpse into the shoulder joint. This video shows a left shoulder rotator cuff tear from inside the shoulder. Notice how the both the rotator cuff tendon (and proximal biceps tendon) is frayed or torn, which can lead to pain, weakness, and limited mobility. Understanding the damage helps us appreciate the repair process. Stay tuned for the repair video!

Following up on the previous post, here's how we address a rotator cuff tear. This video, taken from the subacromial space, shows the repair in progress to completion. Watch as bone tunnels are created Inn the prepared footprint for the repair and the sutures and anchored into place to complete the repair.  This is where precision in repair attempts to optimize healing
