I want to try something new with the pinned cast in /success: encouraging more long form discussion. Read the question below and answer thoughtfully. Let’s spark some real conversations here! There has been a lot of FUD recently about past failure and what that means for future success. With this in mind—what is the most important failure you’ve experienced in life and how did it shape the person you are today? For me, it was losing everything to drug addiction and the criminal justice system. My career, my health, my youth. But through that struggle, I learned to be a much stronger person—much more capable to take on the challenges of life. I wouldn’t change anything as all of it helped shape the person I am today. What about you?

I am proud to be a recovering addict. I'll share the beginnings of my story.. Played football in high-school, 'merican. In my JV season 15yo, I dislocated my shoulder 7 times and the first thing they did was throw vicodin at my situation. Unfortunately my shoulder was too far gone and I was forced to sit the rest of the season out with the possibility of never being able to play again. This was at the very same time I shifted my lifestyle and moved to my Moms' home - who has the philosophy "as long as it's under my roof where u can be safe...feel free." I try not to blame anyone but myself, but this lifestyle switch was def the beginning of my long road to eventually bootin' dogfood.. iykyk So with the pain of football injuries, and a "safe zone" to party away the rest of my teens and into my mid-twenties...ya boy experimented wif everything under the Sun. Litterally. This was the beginning of my biggest failure, I knew better than to do drugs, I chose to not listen to instinct.
