Before, embedded wallets seemed like a bit of a "burner" wallet because each was app-specific, and people new to web3 would trip up on the UX problems that causes. 

Now with global, embedded wallets — derived from twitter logins or iOS passkeys, it is a much better experience for newbies coming onchain.

EOAs was enough but we just had to over engineer things. Bad luck for embedded wallets when it came late after smart wallets.

Gas currency was a major mover for embedded wallets but that’s no longer a problem anymore.

CB smart wallets are supported alongside the embedded ones, when they launch soon.
