Good news! At the end of the month, I’ll be a Visiting Senior Scientist in Geographic Information Systems at the Illinois State Geologic Survey! And it only took 2 years and 500+ job applications to get here. 🙃 I tried to break into the tech industry; is tech no longer interested in hiring data science talent?

ty! It’s been a challenging couple years, for sure. And also a WTF experience from seeing some galling lack of professionalism from supposedly “top” multibillion dollar, multinational companies.
