I have the answer (for myself atleast) Zora mints to IPFS - which requires you to maintain the image pin Manifold mints to Arweave - which does not require data maintenance

Arweave wins again. Either IPFS is broken or we're not using it properly. It's perfect for renegades with content like Wikileaks or sensitive journalism but certainly not for commercial purposes. Been there done that, can't say I regret not choosing IPFS for anything commercial.

If they must choose IPFS, Manifold should keep absolute raw original copies of NFT images/other resources and allow users to download it. Then the user has the choice to reupload to IPFS and get the same hash (assuming nothing has changed to the resource).
