Interesting take from Pieter Levels on how learning to code today involves sifting through dozens of VC/corporate-funded devfluencers pushing newbie devs toward certain “open-source” frameworks, with the ultimate goal of having them host their startup on proprietary, closed-source and often overly-expensive infrastructure. “It’s like lobbying.” https://x.com/chfsrh/status/1826314475860840500

It's such an interesting "entrapment with OSS frameworks" emergent strategy, eh?! And agree, this has been kinda pretty darn visible (but still bit non-obvious) for a good 5 years. 😤😡
