My pistols are glock, maybe every 1k rounds. I run a snake through after every range outing.

During the honeymoon/break in period after every trip to the range. The oiling process is minimal but I *feel* like regular application helps balance out the pickling grease. Otherwise, 500-1000 rounds is totally reasonable or after camping (where dust and dirt is more likely to accumulate.) In general, I love the cleaning process so I’m probably more on the frequent side due to the meditative experience of it. That and a clean firearm is v satisfying
