it’s complex, I guess. their vibe back in the day—and other similar pods like true anon and chapo—was to constantly dunk on dems (thanks Obama). as a result, many on the left perceived them as right-wing even though they maintained some left-coded values like universal healthcare (see the dasha “sailor socialism” meme).

over time that brand evolved to the ~trad wife~ ideology that they currently espouse and they’ve gradually shifted right, but imo they are some kind of centrists drawing from both sides of the aisle. tough to decipher since this is all through dense layers of irony.
