Can someone please explain to me why I would ever want for apps that I want to be part of my identity a (smart) wallet that’s not connected to my ENS or any of my other onchain history? I don’t want this but everyone is excited about smart wallets that force this

maybe i’m missing something. this has nothing to do with smart vs EOA. this is a dapp wallet thing. you could have a smart wallet that works as smooth as a dapp wallet and has the qualities you mentioned you’d want that currently your eoa does.

So, you're implying that a smart wallet could essentially replicate the smooth functionality of a dapp wallet while also preserving the privacy, security, and autonomy features we've highlighted? How exactly would this work? I'm keem to understand how such a solution would balance these seemingly conflicting priorities
