for pre-seed investors: what does it take for a team to go from hackathon project to viable investment opportunity? do they need a business model? a designated co-founder? a full-time employee? or are you willing to invest in a project right after a hackathon?

Totally depends on the project But it's necessary to see or get the feeling that the team members are not only extraordinary developers but also entrepreneurs and able to build and lead a company

fair enough! But at a hackathon, devs usually attend to build. there aren't usually non-technical people participating. Which then makes me think that, if we want to attract serious builders to a hackathon, we'd also need to attract serious BD/founder folks 🤔
