Fun history story about my family: In 1934 Chicago my great grandma was in charge of the hotel that John Dillinger, who was at the time "Public Enemy Number 1" was staying in. She noticed that there were a lot of women going to his room, and thought he was running a brothel (they were just passing him notes) | v

So assuming this, she walks over to his room and is greeted by a gun concealed inside a paper bag. Scared shitless, she evicts him from the hotel and hurries back to her room, later that night she comes back to find him gone. ~ 6 months later (ironically on my bday, July 22), he was shot at the Biograph Theater.
