fair, but I don't think that happens without broad crypto market # go up people aren't going to get on here because they want their social graph decentralized, they are going to get on if they see other people making money in crypto you saw it with the initial surge of users being tied to DEGEN running up even crypto ppl didn't want to be on here until there was a proven monetary return for being early

well, personally, I'm on this site because I like talking crypto and there are a lot of other people here that like to talk crypto I know that is not what you want to hear though so I'm sorry lol but I'm not saying it's bad that you want to talk to people about stuff other than crypto! I'm just saying I don't see the path to farcaster becoming the hub for that sort of thing any time soon because I don't think the average user is very stressed about the decentralization of their social graph

I mean when the product is *money*, the thing people store their labor in, there is a wall of worry that needs to be climbed and the product WAS good enough to go from $0 to $2T MC, it's not like it hasn't proven itself but part of what got it there is the built in marketing (the only real marketing it has) that if you're early to using it, you benefit to be clear though, I'm talking about crypto's primary use case as money here those other weirdo "web3" use cases where you have to twist someone's arm to get them to adopt? yeah, I agree, they're DOA

yeah the early adopters showed up and built everything because there was something here other than number go up but I'm talking about pop culture masses getting into crypto, not early adopters they move to new things when it's obviously safe/non-risky to do so, and that's not going to happen until crypto has a larger market cap than $2T which basically relegates it to being fun play money
