now we have an explosion of excellent new content made via decentralized production methods on the Internet

this is like when boomers complain that news was better when you learned everything a day late and through the heavy editorial filter of centralized publications

but we have to agree that movies are mostly worst then before

there are also plenty of fantastic original movies still being produced, acting like that stopped in the 2000s is cope lol

yeah, not saying there are only bad movies, from this list I've only watched get out, uncut gems, parasite, django, birdman and wolf of wall st., have to agree they are all great, but I believe it's more rare nowadays

my view is that there are at least as many (maybe even more) but that they aren't served to you on a silver platter via the movie theater any more, you need to search them out

well one can argue that's even easier now a days with the internet and social media, and before people were limited to all that was on the theater/ dvd stores
