but it's worth it because amazing creators who never would've been seen in the old system (hollywood gatekeeping) can now be found

I firmly disagree movies are shit lately

you can find plenty of great modern movies if you take the time to look (more than previous eras, potentially) 

good movies just aren't served to you on a silver platter any more via your local theater, you have to put in some effort to find them

I mean, movies are shit lately, and movies are seen within society, so. but this isnt technology ruining movies, this is marketing driving technology and ruining movies.
