imo yes because the entertainment of video social doesn't come from people interacting with each other, it comes from creators broadcasting static content

it's like a conference, people are hopping between rooms watching different single users "present" on stage

but text social is like the conference after-party, it thrives on people moving in and out of interesting conversations, that's the content engine

when you remove the live feed that lets people discover those conversations, your whole text social network suffers (as @yesyes's analysis proved)
