I don't think you can ban the phones. I resent, however, the outright denial from the tech community that there are no negatives. People like pmarca and Tyler Cowen want to live blinders on

the positives outweigh the negatives though, no? like giving everyone on earth a 24/7 connectivity device to understand each other and know each other better is long term a great thing

imo the negatives come from the phones ability to help us gather information about how fucked up the systems we live under are
