Time and time again I'm reminded that the more friction there is to do something the larger the potential payoff is.

Hate that this is the case but when it comes to doing degen things this couldn't be more accurate.

this is a great point and why I push pack on the "in the future people won't even know they're using crypto" messaging

if crypto is going to change the world, it's not going to be done in the background

the most important work we will do will have plenty of friction

but no one will care because it'll be worth it

yeah I don't say this because I look down on education and UX, I still think they are important

I just think as an industry we've veered too far towards this mindset that "the only thing holding back adoption is that crypto UX is bad" when creating legit use cases is far more important

i think to reduce friction for adoption, a lot of crypto terminology will be abstracted away 

with that being said, this also creates opportunities to educate people while they use a product/app 

apart of onboarding to any product could include education. users earn crypto by completing and use it w/out onramping

teaching old people how to use the internet still sucks

we take for granted how "easy" everything is because we're digital natives

doesn't matter, people still love the internet and use it daily and jump through the hoops because it's obviously worth it

Idk, I think all the friction comes in the beginning. It pays to be early. But friction is always smoothed out at the end of the adoption curve.
