A nice tool would be a liquidity chart for tokens across pools including what’s locked etc. to give folks a quicker at a glance understanding of different depths of liquidity.  

Of course trading on cexes complicates this a bit as well.

But still a good question. Some of these coins don’t have near as much liquidity.
