just saw Moana 2 with the fam story above average, new characters good, but the songs are painfully mid (huge step down from Lin Manuel) 7.1/10

Hard agree. Although I don’t think I *got* the point of the farmer and his arc. Maybe I missed something. Incidentally. When I saw it on the weekend I can’t count how many parents I saw in the cinema while the movie was playing, sitting on TikTok. Disturbing.

farmer arc def felt forced in, would've loved him to have played a more crucial role in the end that's such a shame about the parents on TikTok too...don't get that at all it was our first time taking both our kids (2 & 5) to see a movie as a whole family and we had a blast divvying out snacks to them while we shared some beers from the concession stand (local theater with a small bar) yeah the movie wasn't amazing but no idea why you'd think TikTok slop is better than paying attention with your kids
